Picked this place for celebrating my husband more/ less 2 weeks ago. Little late to write the review but better late then never. Our waitress was Miroslava she was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything that we ordered we have nothing to complain about. Wasn’t expecting my Chilean Sea Bass Provencal (from featured entrees) will be like a soup, was something different but the taste was really good. We also ordered desserts I just didn’t take a pictures of them. All desserts was great. The place looks lovely too. Is a perfect place to take anyone for special date for special occasions. Definitely will be back.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here, starting the night with freshly baked bread with herb butter and appetizers of tuna poke. My wife chose the salmon and shrimp risotto, I followed through with blackened swordfish with mango salsa and wild rice. The presentation was great and the flavors were to be savored. Topping it all off was coffee and Key lime pie for dessert. The best part of the experience was our server Shaun. She was so friendly and a delight to talk to, and her service was first rate in all respects. We will definitely be returning there.
Drove by the blue point grill in Newtown quite often and decided to try it 9/26/25. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very nice bubbly hostess who sat us right away because we made reservations. Nice low lighting, definitely a seafood atmosphere. Our waiter Colt introduced himself and wow he was so nice, professional and answered every question we had. What an asset to this place. Andrea started off with a flight expresso martini's and I had an old fashion. Both delicious. Appetizer was crab and street corn salad with tortilla chips. It's served cold and it was very fresh. Good enough to share. I ordered the North American corvina and a bowl of NE clam chowder. Andrea had the Black Sea bass Milanese. The chowder came out and it was filled with clams and creamy. However it did lack taste. Good but nothing to write home to mom about. The main course came and it was so fresh and delicious. Decent portions as well. For desert we shared a banana foster pudding which was so good it should be illegal to serve. Total bill $200 without tip. Great job by the staff very nice place to dine. Highly recommend. We will return.
One of the most well-run restaurants I've been to. The service is top-notch, the atmosphere is great, and the food is incredible! It a great place for events, and the patio area is fantastic in the warmer months. If you're in the Newtown area, I can't recommend Blue Point Grill enough! You won't be disappointed.
Had an overall incredible first experience at this restaurant. Came in for dinner and drinks to catch up with group of friends and was pleasantly impressed from start to finish. The drinks were absolutely delicious- the skinny margaritas were a favorite. They had a good selection of oysters that were so fresh- definitely the best I’ve had in the area. We shared a couple apps between the table and everyone raved about their individual entrees. Our bartender/ waitress Kim was attentive without being intrusive. She really timed our courses nicely so that our meal didn’t feel rushed through or pushed out as we were wrapping up close to closing. (Which as a group of moms who don’t always get to enjoy a leisurely paced dining experience, was really appreciated!) The GM Danielle checked in with us on our experience and seemed genuinely excited about things that will be coming up in the summer which was nice to see.
Stopped into Blue Point Grill in Newtown after a long workday. I ordered the lobster bisque, which had chunks of lobster in it, and the salmon for dinner. The bartender- Marina, recommended getting it blackened — definitely the right call. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For a Monday night, the place had a good crowd. The restaurant was super clean — you can tell they really take care of the place. After I finished eating, the manager Brian came over to check in, asked how everything was, and said he’s looking forward to seeing me again soon. Something as small as that goes a long way. I’ll definitely be back.
Had an absolutely wonderful experience from the moment my fiancé & I stepped foot into the restaurant. The host was so kind & our waitress, Sandy, was beyond knowledgeable of the menu & so sweet. The options were endless with featured dishes on top of their regularly served fish. Our drinks were quick to come from the bar & were very good! The food was delicious from our appetizer, jalapeño lime shrimp, to our entrees! Every employee we came in contact with was personable & friendly! We will definitely be coming back in the future for more fresh seafood!
